About

The Max Nader Lab for Rehabilitation Technologies and Outcomes Research is directed by ekso1Dr. Arun Jayaraman PT PhD. The Max Nader Lab is one of the core labs at the Center for Bionic Medicine- all of which are part of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC). The RIC is the world’s leader in rehabilitation medicine and has been ranked number one consecutively for 23 years by US News and World Report.

The Max Nader Lab was founded out of a philanthropic endowment from Ottobock HealthCare to encourage independent research in clinical outcomes in the field of Prosthetics, Orthotics & Rehabilitation Robotics.

Currently, the lab is very unique that it is one of the few clinical labs that develops and executes both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated research in prosthetics, orthotics, rehabilitation robotics, and other assistive and adaptive technologies to treat physical disability. The lab conducts all its outcome research using advanced wearable patient monitoring wireless sensors in addition to the traditional performance-based and patient-reported outcome measures
